Vestas, the wind turbine manufacturer and Eolus, Sweden’s leading wind power developer, have signed contracts for four projects in the south of Sweden.

Four Wind Projects for Sweden

The locations, the generating capacity and the Vestas turbines to be used are as follows:

Skalleberg: 14MW (8 x V100-1.8MW); 4MW (2 x V90-2.0MW)
Ramsnäs: 13MW (7 x V100-1.8MW)
Mungseröd: 14MW (8 x V100-1.8MW)
Alered: 13MW (4 x V112-3.3MW)

The contracts signed not only include the delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind power farms but also a 10-year “Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 full availability” service contract.  Three  projects-Ramsnäs, Mungseröd, and Alered- are expected to be installed towards the end of next year, while the Skalleberg project, in quarter four of 2014.

Eolus CEO Per Witalisson was quoted as saying:

“Vestas has been very accommodating and professional, which we truly appreciate. The offer Vestas gave us matched our expectations, and we look forward to the same good cooperation as we have had in previous business with Vestas.” 

Commenting on the new contracts, Vestas Northern Europe President Klaus Steen Mortensen said:

“These projects reaffirm the strong relationship between Eolus and Vestas. We are proud and humbled by the confidence Eolus continues to show in our ability to contribute to realising their wind power ambitions.”

This partnership has resulted in a total of over 400MW of completed or firm orders between Vestas and Eolus.
