The UK plans for 25GW wind power contribution to national grid. The UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and Ofgem announced a new regulatory framework to connect island offshore renewable projects to the onshore grid. The objective is to connect huge amounts of UK offshore wind energy to the national grid .
