The Aeolos-H 30kw wind turbine is divided into off-grid and grid-connected types, which is designed for large-scale farms, villages, schools, hospitals, small industrial enterprises, production and processing enterprises and small-scale wind farms. It could produce annual 100,000 – 180,000 kwH in the average wind speed locations which meet more than 70% of the electricity consumption requirements of small groups and also provide low-cost, non-polluting clean energy.

The Aeolos-H 30kW wind turbine’s configuration uses an innovative direct drive design (no gearbox) in conjunction with a permanent magnet generator with the end result being a significantly increased reliability for the system as a whole. This type of setup reduces the overall weight in the nacelle and requires a generator speed which is significantly lower than that for a doubly fed inductor generator designs using old-fashioned gearboxes which usually need bearing changes after 5 years of operation. All of this means that the Aeolos-H 30kw turbine powertrain is more reliable, has fewer moving parts to go wrong, and requires much less maintenance than conventional gearbox-equipped turbines.

The result of the direct drive-permanent magnet technology is a system which significantly increases reliability and reduces maintenance costs. Reduced downtime for maintenance also means less non-producing time offline. The elimination of associated mechanical losses that are inevitable with gearboxes also leads to improved efficiencies in the power conversion process.

The Aeolos-H 30kw generator itself is also much more robust than conventional systems and gives greater efficiencies when wind speeds are not at full rating, compared to the earlier conventional designs.

The Aeolos-H 30kw can be installed as a single unit on- or off-grid wind turbine system or combined as multi-units building an on-grid independent wind farm connection.

The Aeolos-H 30kw wind turbine – with a tower height of 18m or 24m guarantees excellent yields in the 30kW category at inland sites.

With cut-in wind speeds as low as 3m/s, the direct drive technology enables the turbine to make efficient use of the prevailing wind conditions at the respective sites to produce sufficient electrical energy. This machine is most suitable for supplying electricity for factories, feeding the local grid, low-cost upscaling and adding to existing wind farms and onshore projects.
