Wind Turbine Parts Inventory Manager
Job Description:
SUMMARY:
· Lead and manage spare and Renewal Parts function for Maintenance and Services Team of the Wind Turbine Group, including inventory management, parts order and replenishment, parts shipments to projects sites, parts returns to MHI and/or non-MHI vendors.
· Lead and manage Warranty Parts Support and Claims, including coordination of all Warranty Claims to MHI/Nagasaki, MHI/Yokohama, MPS and non-Mitsubishi parts/components vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the day-to-day operation of the spare parts inventory, as located centrally and dispersed geographically to each operating site.
· Ensure the availability of Wind Turbine contractual spare parts as specified in the negotiated contractual requirements at each of the Wind Turbine sites, in coordination with MPS/LA and MHI/Japan.
· Develop, implement, coordinate and operate a parts inventory control & tracking system for all Wind Turbine locations.
· Effectively maintain parts inventory, to include acquisition and distribution of inventory stock, a management process/system for spare and defective parts control, and an effective communication platform to assure crisp parts and cost management.
· Plan and coordinate the necessary part and material activities to successfully complete installation and service of wind turbines in compliance with contract terms.
· Develop and maintain a good working relationship with Wind Turbine Site Supervisors.
· Develop, coordinate and execute a parts and material purchasing program for non-critical parts that assures MPS/MHI the highest quality at the lowest price.
· Supervise rebuild work provided by sub-contractors, and provide technical assistance as required to ensure profitability for the Company.
· Monitor and evaluate sub-contractor work to ensure and confirm the work-scopes are completed in a professional manner with quality workmanship and materials.
· Cooperate, negotiate and correspond with MPS/MHI clients and/or any other 3rd party in a professional manner while representing MPS in any business related transactions.
· Complete necessary forms and reports regarding maintenance work as requested by the Company, and communicate all maintenance work job reports to MHI Nagasaki and MPS Wind Turbine Group Leadership.
· Perform such other duties as may be required from time to time by the company.
