I’m Responding to what you want. You want cheap power for $4000.00
A used cheap built used HAWT wind turbine will not do that for you.
your in a wind class 1 were these turbines blades turn but product no usable power over time. and if you expect your dream to hold up in hurricane winds for long I realy do not think it would last thru one storm of such. we have found them dead in wind class 4 area in State of MN.
Skystream’s advertised rated power of 1.8 kW at nearly 9 m/s is extremely high and though reports suggest that the aerodynamic efficiency of the rotor is quite high, this could be optimistic. The Skystream is projected to deliver 37% efficiency in a 9 m/s wind. you never hit this speed or kwh advertised. It revealed exactly what the prototype turbine delivered during standardized tests at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. And what the chart showed was that the prototype turbine delivered 1.2 kW at 9 m/s, not 1.8 kW. ww.wind-works.org/articles/CommentaryontheSkystream.html
you need your power even lower…….. VAWT turbine…… Wind Bear
Rated at 7m/s at full power…… cup bladed VAWT 2kw 9m 1.6kw advertised to 40m/s load tested = to 140 mph winds. these are both low rpm VAWT turbines with heavy duty PMG no gearbox no high speed to burn out your bearings and cause early failure.
