Used Jay Carter 25 KW Wind Turbines – 2 Available – $27,500 USD per unit
One is currently in operation in the US following a complete rebuild in 2007.
The 2nd turbine rebuild will be complete May 15, 2010.
A decommissioning fee of $500 will apply for each turbine and includes loading onto truck on site
Each set include:
- 80 ft tilting tower
- gin pole
- guy wires
- related hardware
One of the most successful designs from the mid 1980s – 2 blade, downwind with conical stabilizer. Rated 25 KW at 27 mph wind. Composite blades, stall regulated w/flyball back up.
These 2 turbines have had regular service since installed in 1985 and operated successfully in sub zero conditions. Towers have two 40 ft sections and are sleeved and galvanized. They they can be transported via truck or trailer. Price does not include dismantling – reason for selling…installing a larger turbine. Would like to sell the 2 as a pair = 50 KW.
